Wayne County Ajax is seeking qualified SBE quotes for the Taxiway K South Reconstruction project. Taxiway K South Reconstruction (Between Taxiway Y2 and R), serves as a primary taxiway route for terminal traffic serving Runway 4R/22L at DTW. Runway 4R/22L serves primarily as a departure runway that is needed to efficiently accommodate departure banks and maintain current airfield capacity at DTW. The Project includes the reconstruction of Taxiway K between Taxiway Y2 and R (approx. 1400 linear feet) including portions of connector taxiways to Taxiway Y. It is the intent of the Airport Authority to complete construction of this project in one construction season in the year 2027, and be funded through the airport authority funding.
